Stronger Branches is Branches Vineyard Church’s primary hands-on approach to building disciples like Jesus commanded: through one-on-one relationships rooted in Scripture, prayer, honest conversation, practical next steps, and dependence on the Holy Spirit.

WHAT IS STRONGER BRANCHES?⸻

A FOUR-MONTH, ONE-ON-ONE DISCIPLESHIP JOURNEY

Stronger Branches connects people who are ready to grow spiritually with mentors who are ready to invest in someone else. This is not a class, a distant program, or a performance system. It is a real discipleship relationship where faith can become more grounded, personal, and fruitful.

Each pair meets about eight times over four months. Together they share stories, pray, open Scripture, name a meaningful growth goal, practice spiritual rhythms, learn to listen for God’s voice, and grow in the truth of their identity in Christ.

The mentor is not the source of transformation. The Holy Spirit does that work. Mentors create space, offer guidance, listen well, and keep pointing the disciple toward Jesus.

HOW IT WORKS

Stronger Branches is designed to be simple enough to practice and meaningful enough to shape real life with Jesus.

May through August
A focused discipleship round runs each year from May through August.

One-on-one discipleship
Each disciple is paired with a mentor for a high-trust season of growth.

Eight meetings
Pairs meet about twice a month over four months.

Clear growth focus
The disciple names a Core Goal and takes practical next steps.

Core concepts
Pairs engage routine spiritual growth, hearing God’s voice, and identity in Christ.

Coach support
Coaches check in during the round so pairs do not navigate the journey alone.

BUILDING ON SUNDAY WORSHIP WITH HANDS-ON DISCIPLESHIP

Jesus commanded his people to make disciples. Stronger Branches helps Branches Vineyard Church live that calling in a focused, relational way.

Sunday services matter deeply. Worship, teaching, prayer, and gathering as the church form us in powerful ways. Stronger Branches is not meant to downplay that good work or replace it. It builds on it by helping people walk out their faith in a personal, one-on-one discipleship relationship.

When one person invests deeply in one other person, faith can take root in daily life: in habits, decisions, relationships, identity, courage, surrender, and obedience to Jesus.

THE EIGHT-MEETING PATHWAY

Each pairing follows a shared pathway while staying responsive to the disciple’s real life and the leading of the Holy Spirit.

1. The Launch: build trust, share stories, and clarify expectations.
2. The Target: name a clear Core Goal for the season.
3. The Call: discern where God may be inviting the disciple to be obedient.
4. The Cut: identify what needs to be surrendered, reduced, confessed, reordered, or removed.

5. Routine Spiritual Growth: build sustainable rhythms with God.
6. Hearing God’s Voice: practice discernment rooted in Scripture and God’s character.
7. Identity in Christ: live from belonging instead of striving for worth.
8. The Handoff: celebrate growth and name next steps.
